Henry Kastner and his family came to St. Paul, Minnesota from Hamburg, Germany in 1885. Henry, a skilled mason, soon began plastering ceilings and walls as part of his business. Father taught son in the best of the old world traditions of craftsmanship. After several generations, plastering, drywall, and painting became Kastner family specialties.
Each generation handed down years of experience to the next, making the family owned business what it is today, a personable, experienced and reputable company. Whether old or new home or commercial building, their experience in the industry has the flexibility to meet your needs.
Quality craftsmanship, honesty, and customer satisfaction are trademarks the Kastner business has maintained for six generations, and that legacy continues.
The Kastner family history.

Kastner Restoration helped create a safer environment for my son who is disabled. They handled all aspects of the home modification from new doors for our basement/house mechanicals, to a gate extension to prevent elopement, to a beautiful carriage door for safety from access to the basement stairs.
If I had any questions, Kastner would respond in a timely manner. If I had concerns, they would address them until I was satisfied. The crew also was professional and friendly yet not intrusive.
I would recommend this company for all home renovation needs!

We at Kastner Restoration | Be Home Accessible Modifications are committed to restoring independence for individuals through home accessibility. A home elevator is great option for people seeking access to multiple floors in their home. A few questions need to be asked:
What size and weight capacity do you need?
This will make a difference in which elevators will work for your situation. We can help determine your best option.
Do you have interior rooms you can use?
In some cases, an elevator takes up too much space, leaving the rest of the room not useful. We can help with laying out where an elevator can be placed and all possible interior options for your elevator.
Maybe it's a good time to consider adding a shaft to the exterior of your home to save interior space?
We have installed both two stop and three stop elevator shafts similar to the home shown here. Think of this as a tiny addition to your home. This option will require excavation, footings, framing, siding, insulation and roofing and is more costly than interior elevators.
A two stop elevator will go from the basement to first floor or first floor to the second. A three stop elevator will go from basement to first and second floors. If you have a split level, we will design three stops, but designed only to go half flights and doors will open on two sides.
We are professionals and will walk you through all of your options. We are committed to helping customers make the right elevator choice for their home.
